It was never safe. It was never just. It was never about "choice" after all ...
64% involve coercion.  Many are
forced.  84% were not fully informed

If Americans knew that most abortions are unwanted, forced, unsafe and/or uninformed ...
they would stop pushing abortion and denying women the opportunity to heal.

Please help inform Americans about abortion's injustice and danger to everyone ... including the deadly aftermath for women:

65% suffer trauma, overall death rate is 3.5 times higher,  suicide is 7 times higher if she aborts vs. giving birth. After all these years, it's painfully clear that abortion was never safe ... never just ... and never about free or fully informed choices

The Word of God  "He sent His word and healed them and delivered them from their destructions." Ps.107:20

During these lessons we will use the Bible as our guide.  The Scripture is the Divinely inspired Word of God written by holy men, apostles, prophets and teachers under the guidance of the Holy Spirit.  The Bible revels God's plan of salvation and the power to redeem you from the past.

"All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness."                                              1 Timothy 3:16

As you read the Bible you will:

*Discover -The magnitude of God. Psalm 147:3.5

*Discern -God's path for you. Psalm 119:105

*Feed -Your faith in Christ.  Romans 10:17

*Receive - Blessings and promises of God.  Hebrews 11:6

*Nurture - Your hope for healing.  Psalm 119:147

*Restore - Prosperity to your soul.  3  John 1:2

The bible is one way God births His words of life into our hearts and minds.  Try to set aside at least 15 minutes a day for personal Bible reading in addition to the homework that you will be doing in these lessons.  A good place to begin is in the New Testament, starting with the gospel of Jesus Christ found in Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.  If you don't have a bible, you can use the on-line version at biblegateway.  All the scripture used is New King James version unless otherwise noted.

Read scripture prayerfully, meditating on the passages that touch your heart.  Be sure to ask the Holy Spirit to guide you and to show you the truth of Gods love.  This will be a good time for the Holy Spirit to make you aware of areas in your life that need healed.  As you share on the boards, we will pray for that healing to take place and believe together for you to be made whole.

Only God can mend a broken heart, and He comes to you through the Word and the Word is Jesus Christ, the eternal, ultimate expression of God working in your heart by the power of the Holy Spirit.

                        THE SOURCE OF HEALING

2.  How would God describe you?

3.  Is believing and receiving God's love difficult for you?  If yes, can you explain?

4.  What is the greatest act of love?  John 15:13

5.  Read John 3:16, Romans 5:8 and 1 John 4:10.  What did God do to prove His love for you?  Does He demand that you be perfect before He will love you?  If you were the only person living in the world, do you think Jesus would still come to save you?

6.  Why was Jesus sent to the world? (John 3:16)      What was Jesus NOT sent into the world to do? (John 3:17)

Ask God for His kingdom of righteousness, peace, and joy to be in your life.  Ask Him to increase your faith and teach you the meaning of His great love.

"Ask and it will be given to you, seek and you will find, knock and it will be open to you For everyone who asks, receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened."  Matthew 7:7-8

While you are knocking on His door, Jesus is knocking on the door of your heart.  He wants to have a relationship with you, a personal relationship, an intimate relationship, one on one, just you and Him.  Open your heart to receive His love and friendship.  Surrender yourself to Him and be willing to follow His direction, even if you do not understand it.  Know that He came to the world, died, and was raised again and is seated by the Heavenly Father ever interceding just for you.

"Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me."  Revelation 3:20

When the disciples ask Jesus how they should pray to the Almighty God, Jesus said, "Pray, Our Father".  In the Garden of Gethsemane, the night before Jesus bore our guilt and sin on the cross, He cried out, "Abba Father".  Later, the Apostle Paul would write in his letter to the Romans, "For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, "Abba Father!"

                         ABBA (DADDY) FATHER

God is your Father.  You are His daughter.  As His daughter, God delights in blessing you with abundant life, showering you with His love and peace.  Another translation for "Abba" is Daddy.  God is your Daddy.  A Daddy with strong arms that will never let you go.  A daddy who loves you even though you may have turned from His love for a time  A Daddy who promises never to leave you, nor forsake you, even in times of trouble, doubt and pain.

A Daddy can see above the crowd, directing us to the place he vowed...

We are children at His knew, so we can’t see as well as He.

His hand is big and always strong, so our way will not go wrong.

A Daddy hears us when we call and picks us up when we fall.

Sometimes we cry from all the pain we feel.

He wipes our tears, for only He can heal.

A Daddy reads and sings us songs, when we’re afraid and think something is wrong.

We can feel secure when in His arms.

We are safe and snug from any harm.

A Daddy knows what to say, so we will know where to play.

HE is ALL wisdom, knowing the beginning from the end.

We will be wise if His words we attend.

1.  Do you know God as Father?

2.  Do you know God as Abba (Daddy) Father?

                                   GOD THE FATHER

A fortress is a place that is strengthen against attack, surrounded with defense, fortified to be a stronghold.  A refuge is a shelter, a protection from danger and trouble, a place of recourse for aid and relief, and escape.  God provides all of this for us.

REFUGE:

    Psalms 46:1-2

    Psalms 62:7-8

    Psalms 91:1-12

FORTRESS:

    Psalms 18:1-3

    Psalms 31:1-3

    Psalms 71:3-4

God desires earthly fathers to provide protection, shelter and strength to children.  You may not have had this type of love from your father, but you can have it now from God.  He is waiting for you to let Him be your father.  This is what He says:

"Because he has set his love upon Me, there forth will I deliver him:  I will set him on high, because he has known My name.  He shall call on me and I will answer him:  I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him and honor him.  With long life will I satisfy him, and show him My salvation."   Psalm 91:14-16

The next time you feel troubled, frightened or overwhelmed just try Him.  He is all that you will need.  "Taste and see that the Lord is good."  Psalms 34:8

1.   What does the word father mean to you?

2.  Describe your relationship with your earthly father.

3.  What emotions do you feel when you think of your father?

                                      GOD THE SON

                          OUR SAVIOR, OUR FRIEND

1.   Who is the life giver?    John 10:10

2.  What name saves you?   Acts 4:8-12

3.  What gift do you have through Jesus?  Romans 6:23

4.  What does Jesus call us?   John 15:14-15

5.  Where is Jesus now and what is He doing?  Romans 8:34

6.  How do you get to know the Father?  John 14:6-7

If God seems too impersonal, or seems to be abstract, or if you relate pain and strife with the word father, then get more intimate with Jesus.  He will introduce you to His Father and make Him your Father (this makes Jesus our brother).
